Social Security: What is the Optimal Age to Receive Benefits?

You only get one chance to make a selection as to when you should receive Social Security benefits so it only makes sense to research the issue thoroughly in order to make the best decision possible. Unfortunately, most individuals who elect Social Security benefits make the mistake of assuming sooner is better. According to the Social Security Administration, over 50% of individuals file as soon as possible which is three months prior to turning age 62.

Paying With Plastic

We have all been there at one time or another. Money is tight, the bills keep piling up and the car breaks down or the kids get sick. What do you do? Pay with plastic. If used properly, credit cards are not a bad thing. We can use them to establish a credit history, accumulate reward points and avoid carrying around wads of cash. But if abused, credit cards can wreak havoc on our financial life.
